All of these batteries are using the new silicon tech which is able to pack more capacity into the same space as the older tech.</p><p></p><p>In light of these numbers, Samsung's decision <a href="https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s25_ultra_battery_capacity_may_disappoint-news-63847.php">to stick with 5,000 mAh</a> for the Galaxy S25 Ultra seems even more strange. If you're wondering why these increases seem to be coming across the board from Chinese smartphone makers, it's a perfect storm of two reasons combined: one is the availability of the new silicon tech, the other, for flagship devices, the rumored increase in consumption of the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC.</p><p></p><p>The Find X8 Ultra will use that chipset, and it's expected to launch in January. The other two members of the family will most likely arrive sooner - in October or November, both featuring MediaTek's Dimensity 9400 SoC.
